Why Choose The Sensitive Skin Facial?

Perfect for calming reactive, easily irritated, or rosacea-prone skin, this facial is specifically formulated to bring comfort and clarity back to your complexion. It gently soothes redness, reduces inflammation, and restores balance—leaving your skin visibly calmer, stronger, and more resilient. With a blend of barrier-repairing and anti-inflammatory ingredients, it helps fortify delicate skin, minimise future flare-ups, and promote long-term skin health.

Suitable For All Skin Types

The Sensitive Skin Facial is formulated to treat redness and sensitivity concerns on all skin tones without causing lightening or discolouration of the skin.

Quick Treatment Time

The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes, making it a convenient option for patients who want a quick but effective skincare treatment.

Gentle Yet Effective

Unlike deeper treatments, the Sensitive Skin Facial offers noticeable results with minimal downtime, making it a popular choice for those with busy lifestyles.

How Does The Sensitive Skin Facial Work?

This gentle, restorative facial is designed to care for sensitive skin from the inside out. Using a blend of calming botanicals and barrier-repairing ingredients, it works by soothing irritation and redness while reinforcing the skin’s protective layer to guard against future sensitivity. As your skin becomes stronger and more balanced, you’ll experience a clearer, more comfortable complexion that looks and feels healthier.

Azelaic Acid

Offers anti-inflammatory and brightening benefits, helping to calm redness, reduce blemishes, fade pigmentation, and gently unclog pores. It evens out skin tone and boosts clarity for a smoother, more radiant complexion.

Salicylic Acid

Penetrates deep into the pores to exfoliate and clear blockages, reducing acne, blackheads, and excess oil. Its anti-inflammatory properties leave skin looking clearer, smoother, and more refined.

Lactic Acid

A gentle exfoliant that hydrates while promoting cell renewal. It improves skin texture and tone by removing dull, flaky skin, leaving the complexion softer, smoother, and more radiant. Ideal for sensitive skin.

Tranexamic Acid

Calms inflammation and redness while reducing visible pigmentation and discoloration. It strengthens the skin barrier, evens tone, and is especially effective for rosacea-prone or reactive skin.

Caffeic Acid

Provides strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection against environmental stressors. It reduces redness, supports collagen production, and improves elasticity, leaving skin brighter and more resilient.

Glycyrrhetinic Acid

Soothes irritation and sensitivity while reducing redness and inflammation. It supports barrier repair, protects against stressors, and leaves the skin feeling balanced, comforted, and refreshed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Proper preparation is key to getting the best results from your Sensitive Skin Facial and ensuring your skin responds safely and effectively.

In most cases, your practitioner will recommend a pre-peel skincare routine for 2 to 4 weeks before treatment. These products can help to strengthen your skin barrier, even out skin tone, reduce sensitivity, and minimise the risk of irritation during or after the peel.

Avoid harsh treatments like waxing, lasers, or exfoliating acids in the days leading up to your appointment.

Daily SPF is essential to protect your skin and prevent further pigmentation before the peel.

Your practitioner will give you a personalised prep plan to ensure your skin is in the best possible condition.

Post-peel care is a crucial part of the treatment process and plays a significant role in ensuring your skin heals properly and achieves the best possible results. To support the healing process and protect your results, you should:

Avoid Sun Exposure – Your skin will be more sensitive—use a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily, even indoors, and avoid direct sunlight whenever possible.

Use Recommended Products Only – Stick to the post-peel skincare advised by your practitioner. These products are designed to soothe, hydrate, and protect your skin while it heals.

Skip Active Ingredients – Avoid retinoids, acids, and exfoliants until your skin has fully recovered to prevent irritation or damage.

Don’t Pick or Peel – Let your skin shed naturally. Picking can lead to scarring or uneven pigmentation.

Keep Skin Hydrated – Drink plenty of water and apply gentle moisturisers regularly to maintain hydration and comfort.

Typically, you can start noticing improvements in your skin within 3 to 7 days after the peel. However, more substantial results often take 2 to 4 weeks to become fully visible.

The ideal frequency for a Sensitive Skin Facial is every 2–4 weeks. Regular sessions ensure long-term skin health, therefore, we advise between 3-6 sessions with maintenance sessions to see best results.

The Sensitive Skin Facial can be an excellent option if you’re dealing with concerns like redness, irritation, rosacea-prone skin, or a compromised skin barrier. It’s designed to calm inflammation, strengthen delicate skin, and restore comfort without triggering flare-ups.

However, everyone’s skin is unique, and sensitivity can have many underlying causes. The best way to know if this treatment is right for you is to book a professional skin consultation.

During the consultation, your practitioner will assess your skin type, tone, medical history, and specific concerns, then recommend a treatment plan tailored to your goals. They’ll also determine the ideal peel strength and frequency to safely deliver the best possible results for your skin.
